the auto stop us right in front of the Delhi Hop On Hop Off main stop. It is the easiest way to see Delhi. HOHO bus run across the city covering many tourist destinations including historic monuments, museums, and markets (Red Fort, India gate, Dili haat, etc). Bus frequency is every half an hour, and cost us RS300 (around RM21, with ekon okeh)-valid for 2 days. like I say, there’s so many things to do and see here. kalau skip, pun tak xckup satu hari. sbb tu pass tu valid utk 2 hari.
Our first destination is Red Fort.
Shah Jahan shifted his capital from Agra to Shahjahanabad and laid the foundation of Red Fort, or the Lal Quila, on 16th April 1639. It took nine years to build this mighty citadel and it got completed on 16th April 1648. Built of red sandstone, it is octagonal in shape, with two longer sides on the east and west(source : wiki ler).
I cant remember the entrance fee but I think it’s around Rs250. it’s a damn huge building. and it’s damn hot out there, around 44 degrees. gila panas-otak cair(sbb tu aku pandai, hahaha). before you enter, they will check your bag, ada metal detector, hah susah dan leceh, kena raba2 suma, beg kena selongkar (almost semua tmpat ada check camni, trmasuk shopping mall dan tengok wayang, huhu). tapi perempuan lah yang merabanya!
dan saya mahu pegi makan dekat Karim’s! it’s one of the oldest restaurant in Delhi (and my friend said that Karim’s serve the best tandoori in the world-ceh, overated daa..) lepas makan, sarah beli laici kat situ, dan kitorang gerak ke jama’ masjid. niatnya nak solat kat situ, lepas tu selipar kena tanggal. masalahnya lantai sangat panas cmne nak pijak dengan kaki ayam.. terus kensel masuk. duduk luar amek gmbr kt luar je.
**Karim’s dekat sangat dengan jama’ masjid. tapi susah sket nak jmpa. ada simpang ke kiri, betul2 brdepan dgn entrance jama’ masjid, lepas tu try tgk sign board utk Karim’s. kedai dia kt celah2 lorong tu.
Gambar : kedai jual tayar, orang jual laici, pemandangan jalan depan Jama’ masjid in old delhi (muslim area)-kedai karim’s tu kena masuk simpang 3 tu, nnti cari signboard karims celah2 lorong, dan hmm, gmbr depan jama’ masjid. sayang, xdpt masuk.
Red Fort dengan Jama’ masjid xjauh pn. mcm dr CM jalan kaki ke Sogo ajer. xpn lagi dekat. berdekatan area jama’ masjid dan red fort, ada chandi chowk, one of the busiest and oldest market in old delhi. (xmau ckp lebih2, xpegi jugak. mencik mak!)
